These slippers are handmade from a mix of sustainable Icelandic Lopi wool, soft Merino wool and high quality acrylic yarns from the Dutch yarn brand Scheepjes. Quality wool provides breathable insulation, which means that the slippers can be worn comfortably for a large part of the year. The suede leather soles make the slippers anti-skid and prevent wear and tear. KOW products are manufactured responsibly in our own workshop in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

KOW sizes cover 2 regular European shoe sizes. The slippers should be slightly tight in the beginning and will shape to your feet for maximum comfort.

KOW slippers can occasionally be machine-washed using a cold wool program. Dry flat to maintain shape. Regular machine washing is discouraged as it will cause pill and increase the risk of shrinkage.

I have been wearing my KOW slippers daily since visiting the KOW workshop in Siem Reap. They are my most favorite and comfortable shoe! The fit for both my husband and I was perfect! He really loves his pothies, too!
I love that they are artisanal and hand made for us and that we are making a contentious relationship in choosing zero waste products that are also 100% biodegradable.
Mostly I love that the KOW work standards are fair, ethical, healthy and pleasant for the women who work there. It was certainly a beautiful environment to visit!

Apart from being biodegradable, ethically made, supercomfortable and warm, these slippers are very sustainable; my daugther destroys footwear but these slippers are not easy to destruct. I also got them for my handicapped sister who also needs solid footwear. Soooo I’m going to buy myself a pair because I think they are beautiful, actually the first reason why these slippers caught my attention. And a lot of people who see the slippers on us at home think exactly the same, a few bought them as well. A bit pricy, but they are worth it because your money is spend well in several ways :-).
